Twins stadium's green makeover focuses on water conservation

The Minnesota Twins' stadium, Target Field, will receive a custom-designed rainwater recycling system that will slash the site's water consumption by 2 million gallons a year and set a new environmental standard for sports complexes, according to the team's CEO. The stadium will be the first sports center to capture, treat and reuse rainwater for irrigation and cleaning purposes, developers say.
