ZTE joins Android parade, sets $338M funding goal

Chinese telecom-gear maker ZTE said it would sell 58 million new shares in hopes of raising $338 million it has earmarked for working capital. The vendor will also start manufacturing Android-based smartphones early this year, a move that could push down the cost of all Android handsets, according to one analyst.
