Promising E. coli vaccine reaches the market

Pfizer Animal Health has started marketing a vaccine seen as having the potential to control the bacteria E. coli 0157H7 in cattle intestines, a bacterium that can prove fatal for humans who eat contaminated beef. The vaccine, developed by Epitopix, is touted as the first to be cleared for use with food animals.
