Ky. activists voice concern over patent expiry of OxyContin

Activists are worried that generics that lack the abuse-resistant protections of of Purdue Pharma's painkiller OxyContin will flood Kentucky after its patent expires in April. "You'll see a lot more oxycodone abuse again. You'll see a lot of overdoses. You'll see the ER visits. You'll see the funeral homes pick up business," activist and recovering addict Joshua Huffman said.
