PCORI announces funding awards for comparative effectiveness research

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute approved 25 awards, totaling $40.7 million over three years, to fund patient-centered comparative effectiveness research projects. The projects will be under PCORI's first four areas of its National Priorities for Research and Research Agenda: assessment of prevention, diagnosis and treatment areas; improving health care systems; communication and dissemination research; and addressing disparities.
