Play the odds to optimize Facebook, Twitter posts

Posting on Facebook and Twitter is more effective if certain engagement patterns are taken into consideration, Tim Parker writes. For example, it's better to post on weekends and after hours on Facebook, and questions in posts generate significantly more user comments. On Twitter, it's best to use hashtags, but not too many, and ask for "retweets" by name (not "RT") if you want them.
