ARC reports 1.85% rise in 2013 ticket sales by travel agents

The consolidated dollar value of airline tickets sold by travel agents rose 1.85% in 2013 compared to 2012, the Airlines Reporting Corp. reports. Domestic fares saw a 0.76% increase while international fares rose 0.86%. Airline fees collected by travel agents rose 9.89%, to $7.7 billion, in 2013 while taxes and fees increased by 2.58%, to $8.9 billion.
