Coca-Cola tests pinpoint location service as marketing tool for World Cup

Apple's iBeacon, which can pinpoint a mobile user's position in a store, is undergoing tests by Coca-Cola, which may use the technology as a centerpiece for its sponsorship of the World Cup and other major events. Separately, Coca-Cola is promoting the World Cup in Brazil by offering interactive mini-bottles with social media and augmented reality features.
