How job hopping can hamper a job search

Having four or five different jobs over a 10-year period can hurt a job seeker's chances with new employers, according to research from recruiting firm Robert Half. Before changing jobs, job seekers should consider if there are other positions they may want with their current employer, and consider if a new position offers stability and longevity, the firm's Paul McDonald advises. "Too much voluntary job hopping can be a red flag," he writes.
