Proposed House bill would invest in freight projects

The proposed Freight Infrastructure Reinvestment Act of 2014 would help fund freight-infrastructure projects as these investments are crucial to maintain U.S. economic growth, said Rep. Adam Smith, D-Wash. The House bill has received praise from the Coalition for America's Gateways and Trade Corridors. "More and more our government and business leaders are agreeing that freight infrastructure is key to economic growth and merits public support," said Leslie Blakey CAGTC executive director.
