Seniors with diverse diets show lower admission risk

Data published in the American Journal of Managed Care revealed a diverse diet was associated with lower odds of hospitalization in seniors aged 65 and older. Researchers also found dietary diversity was tied to better health, reduced inpatient care and emergency care use, and higher ambulatory care use in elderly patients.
