Canadian Hemp Grower To File $20 Million Suit Against U.S.

Kenex Ltd. said yesterday it will sue the U.S. government for not allowing the company to distribute its hemp food products. The company said the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency's decision in October to ban foods containing hemp is in violation of the North American Free Trade Agreement. It claims the DEA it failed to collect input and did not offer science-based rationale for the ruling.
