Dollar General To Restate Three Years' Worth Of Earnings

Dollar General yesterday re-reported its net income for 1998, 1999 and 2000 to correct errors that partially stemmed from accounting issues and incorrect recording of expenses. While the Goodlettsville, Tenn.-based retail chain's restatement reflects a dip in earnings, it expects to follow through with plans to open 600 stores in 27 states this year.
