Air Force starts search for new presidential jet

If Barack Obama serves two full terms as president, his successor could be the first to fly in the new Air Force One being planned by the Air Force for delivery in 2017. Three aircraft are being sought, and the Air Force wants designs based on existing commercial wide-body jetliners. That would set up a battle between Boeing Co. and Airbus SAS, with the 787, 747-8 and A380 as the most likely contenders.
