Economist: Office vacancies up to 17% by year end

Bob Bach, chief economist at real estate broker Grubb & Ellis, expects U.S. office vacancies to rise to 17% in 2009. "The economy is dealing with, simply, a lack of demand," Bach said. "Not just consumer demand, but among businesses."
