At least $1.4 billion worth of infrastructure has been destroyed in Gaza, according to Palestinian surveyors. Palestinian economists say it could take at least five years to repair the damage caused by Israeli military bombings. Western and Arab countries are expected to pay for most of the rebuilding, and European leaders will meet this week to discuss reconstruction efforts.
