Report: Ohio biotech sector supports 135,000 jobs in 2007

A report from trade group BioOhio shows that in 2007, Ohio's commercial biotech industry made $34 billion in direct and indirect economic impact and bolstered 135,000 jobs. "A solid infrastructure and sustained growth" will help the sector withstand the financial crisis and pursue growth when the economy improves, BioOhio's CEO said.
