Diabetes increases dementia risk in people with MCI

People with mild cognitive impairment are more likely to develop Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia if they have diabetes, a study found. In the study, 16 individuals with MCI and diabetes were three times as likely to develop dementia as study participants with MCI and no diabetes.
