Obese women should limit pregnancy weight gain to 10 pounds

Obese women should gain as little as 10 pounds during pregnancy, according to a commentary in the journal Obstetrics & Gynecology. The Institute of Medicine recommends obese women gain between 11 and 20 pounds during pregnancy, but the obstetricians said that could lead to health problems both during and after pregnancy.
