Be likable -- not nice -- at work, writes Scot Herrick. When you're nice, people dump work on you because you won't say "no" and the boss runs roughshod over you because you're not confrontational. Instead, be likable, which means you say "no" in a pleasant way, stand up for yourself and help search for solutions.
