Sears getting digital makeover in effort to boost sales

Sears has assembled a 180-member team focused on creating digital solutions to reverse shrinking sales. In 2009, the company launched several sites and apps as part of "Shop Your Way," an initiative to provide consumers with various options for buying and picking up merchandise. One concept involves converting an entire Kmart store into a pickup-only site for shoppers who buy online.
