NYC sets records for restaurant fines

A year after New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg waived fines on eateries that scored "A" grades in their health inspections, the city is set to collect a record $50 million in fines. The rise comes as the health department focuses on more frequent inspections at restaurants earning "B" and "C" grades, officials said.
