1 in 3 U.S. adults search online for diagnosis

A Pew Research Center poll showed that 35% of 3,014 adults have searched the Internet specifically to determine a medical condition. Of these online self-diagnosers, 46% said that the information they got online pushed them to seek medical attention and 41% said a medical professional confirmed their initial diagnosis.
