Boeing defends fire-suppression system on 787 Dreamliner

Boeing said a compartment containing electrical components on the 787 Dreamliner is not protected by a fire-suppression system. "That's not unique to the 787," said Boeing spokeswoman Lori Gunter. "It's true of all Boeing airplanes." The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating two fires aboard 787s.
