EHR adoption among family docs could reach 80% this year

Sixty-eight percent of family physicians in the U.S. used EHRs in 2011, and that figure could reach 80% this year if the growth in EHR adoption continues, according to a study in the Annals of Family Medicine. Researchers reported that EHR adoption rates varied across the U.S., with the highest in Utah at close to 95% and the lowest in North Dakota at 47%.
