Fla. district alters teacher-evaluations policy

A Florida school district has approved a plan to evaluate teachers based in part on results from year-end tests rather than a state standardized test that does not cover all subjects. Officials say the change is intended to make the state's evaluation system less complicated after questions were raised over the effectiveness and accuracy of value-added measures.
