La. hospice head says cutting Medicaid hospice would raise costs

State Medicaid cuts proposed by Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal would end the program's hospice benefit. Hospice of Acadiana CEO Louis Hebert said the cuts would not affect care at the facility but would lead to unnecessary emergency department visits and more expensive end-of-life care.
