Why Facebook's future lies in better search tools

Developing a means to allow users to search for things such as movies their friends like would help Facebook significantly increase revenues and compete with companies such as Google, analysts say. Facebook tried to acquire search startup Ark, and has hired about 100 workers to develop search technology, including former Google engineer Lars Rasmussen.
