Calif. transport official: "[C]onstruction will still be robust" in 2014

The Bay Bridge, the Devil's Slide Tunnel and the fourth bore of the Caldecott Tunnel were all completed last year in California's Bay Area, but there are still several major projects underway that will keep contractors, construction crews and state transportation busy for years to come, according to this article. Work is underway on the Transbay Transit Center project, the 3.2-mile Oakland Airport Connector and Presidio Parkway -- the reconstruction of Doyle Drive. The work may not be "[n]ecessarily the billion-dollar projects, but construction will still be robust," said Bijan Sartipi, district director for Caltrans.
