Earthquakes rattle Southern Calif.

A series of moderate earthquakes shook Southern California on Wednesday and Thursday. The first temblor, with a preliminary magnitude of 4.4, struck near Fontana in San Bernardo County at 1:35 a.m. Pacific time Wednesday. A magnitude-3.8 quake struck near Villa Park in Orange County at 11:40 p.m. On Thursday, a magnitude-3.2 earthquake struck at 1:50 a.m. near Fontana again.
