Federal judge upholds ACA tax credit provisions

U.S. District Judge Paul Friedman dismissed a challenge to the Affordable Care Act's tax credits, allowing the subsidies for all eligible enrollees whether they sign up in federal or state-run exchanges. Congress intended to make the tax credits available regardless of whether a plan is bought on a state-run or federally run exchange, the judge wrote. An appeal is likely.
