Google+ attack redirects hotels' profile pages

Thousands of hotels' Google+ pages have been hijacked and pointed at third-party booking sites, sabotaging not just the hotels' social media presence but also their search results and Google Maps listings, which are shaped by Google+ profiles. The listing-site operators denied having a role in the attack, and said they were also victims since they had subsequently been penalized by Google's search algorithms.
