Ind. district uses technology fee to pay for iPad program

Following a successful pilot program, an Indiana school district is preparing to launch a one-to-one iPad program. The district has paid for the devices by collecting a $50 technology fee at the beginning of the school year, while also offering assistance to help disadvantaged families cover the cost. Families also are eligible to purchase insurance for the devices.
