Mass. students gear up for MLK Day of service with governor

Twelve students from Brockton, Mass., will join Gov. Deval Patrick and about 400 other eighth-graders for a day of service in Boston on Martin Luther King Day as part of Project 351, a nonprofit that promotes youth community participation. Students who are nominated to be a Project 351 Ambassador are recognized by their teachers for their leadership potential and service, among other qualities. The students will work with various Boston-area organizations, including a food bank and a Boys and Girls Club.
