Some construction projects set to gain from $1T spending bill for FY 2014

The $1 trillion spending bill for fiscal year 2014 is a compromise package put forth by Sen. Barbara Mikulski, D-Md., and Rep. Harold Rogers, R-Ky. The bill would increase the federal-aid highway obligation limit; up the amount for Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery, or TIGER, grants awarded by the Department of Transportation; raise the amount for civil-works projects overseen by the Army Corps of Engineers; and increase the construction budget of the General Services Administration.
