Students use Google for a long distance hangout

Two Canadian teachers -- in St. Thomas and London -- connected their grade seven students for a long distance book discussion. Using Google Hangouts and Docs, students worked on their research and analytical skills while preparing to discuss the book for each session. "It's just really breaking down the walls in the class and reaching out into other communities," teacher David Carruthers said.
