Cereal makers continue branching out to gain market share

General Mills and Kellogg's each hold about 32% of the $7.5 billion cereal market in the U.S., and in their quest to increase market share, each have branched out into other categories. Both companies now offer yogurt, granola bars, toaster snacks, waffles, cookies and cakes.
