Kellogg will close cheese processor in mid-2008

Kellogg Co. has said it will close one of its smaller, Ohio-based cheese processing plants in 2008 rather than expand it to accommodate growing demand for Cheez-It crackers. The plant is working at full capacity, but Kellogg is still forced to buy additional cheese from Brewster Dairy, and it said it is more cost-effective to buy all its cheese from Brewster Dairy.
