Wal-Mart names creative, media agencies

Wal-Mart Stores has named Interpublic Group's Martin Agency to handle the creative side of its advertising, and Publicis Groupe's MediaVest to handle media duties. The moves bring to a conclusion a period of upheaval in the retail giant's marketing division, which saw the firing of its SVP of marketing communications, Julie Roehm, and the agency she brought in, DraftFCB.
