NICU nurses have happier feet due to initiative at Okla. hospital

RNs in the NICU at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City have reported a 42% increase in foot health on the Foot Function Index, a measure designed by the VA that Mercy employees used to study nurses' foot problems. The study prompted changes such as measurements for orthotics and better shoes designed to decrease foot pain for NICU nurses.
