Briggs & Stratton stands by previous 2009 guidance

Briggs & Stratton Corp. stood by its 2009 guidance of 81 cents to $1.01 per share for the fiscal year ending in June. The outdoor power equipment manufacturer said inventories of its lawn and garden equipment remain at normal levels. Briggs & Stratton does predict its third-quarter results to be lower than last year.
