Deloitte says its health reform plan would save $500B

Implementing electronic prescriptions and using only the most effective drugs and procedures could reduce U.S. health care spending by $530 billion over 10 years, according to a report by consulting firm Deloitte LLP. The company's health reform plan calls for spending $220 billion over three years on e-prescribing, electronic medical records and a medical home model.
