Inflatable dams installed to help NYC reduce sewer overflows

New York City has installed two inflatable rubber dams within two of the largest sewer lines in Brooklyn to ease and reduce sewage and stormwater overflows. The $15.7 million project is part of the NYC Green Infrastructure Plan, which proposes an investment of $2.4 billion over the next two decades to help minimize combined sewer overflows.
