American Airlines workers vote against joining union

American Airlines passenger-service agents have voted against joining a union. The workers voted 51% against and 49% for joining the Communications Workers of America, results released Tuesday show. "The company looks forward to continuing to work closely and directly with our agents and representatives as we build the new American Airlines," said Missy Cousino, a spokeswoman for the carrier.
