Some Western hotels have taken note of the significant growth of the Muslim travel market and are offering amenities that fulfill the religious requirements of this demographic. "Muslim travelers are now a large market that people in the hospitality sector are beginning to pay attention to, and it is certainly worth attracting. The total Muslim travel market is larger than the world's biggest source market, which is Germany, and twice that of China," said Reem El Shafaki, a senior associate at consultancy DinarStandard.
