Group hotel occupancy is showing growth, survey finds

The TravelClick North American Hospitality Review for December 2012 indicates that group hotel bookings have begun to recover. Data show a 2.2% rise in group bookings from the fourth quarter of 2012 through the third quarter of 2013. "Based on TravelClick data, it appears that decline in group was temporary. ... As we head into the new year, there are opportunities for hoteliers to increase both ADR and occupancy in this critical segment," said Tim Hart, an executive vice president at TravelClick.
