An original Top Gun shares history through aviation museum

Errol Dwight Severe founded Aviation Cadet World, a museum that highlights the early history of fighter pilots. Severe joined the Aviation Cadet pilot-training program at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio when he was 19 and spent his military career flying refueling tanker planes before becoming a commercial pilot with Delta. He wrote a book called "The Last of a Breed," which follows the Aviation Cadet program from its inception to the 1960s when the military decided pilots all had to be officers.
