When warehouse control systems are used with a warehouse management system and enterprise resource planning, companies can fill or ship orders from anywhere in the supply chain. "Manufacturers are exploring automation to help reduce the costs to process an order while increasing customer satisfaction with accurate, high-quality, store-ready orders," said Sean O'Farrell, market development director for Dematic.
