CIOs struggle to "tame the digital dragon," poll finds

Chief information officers are increasingly overwhelmed by the pace of technological transformation happening in their companies as more enterprises move to the cloud, according to a new Gartner poll, which finds that more than 40% say they lack the adequate manpower to effectuate necessary changes. The poll found that while large numbers of CIOs expect their companies to be entrenched deeply in the cloud by 2020, many remain plagued by talent shortages and struggle to leverage new leadership responsibilities with infrastructure and governance demands.
