Deli, bakery trends include customization, easy preparation

The International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association has released the "What's in Store 2014" report, revealing trend information for supermarkets to position themselves for success in prepared food. Trends to watch include menu customization, easy preparation for cooking at home and value at the right cost. Among consumers, 9 in 10 purchase meal solutions by retailers instead of going to a restaurant because of cost and value, the association says.
